MPD Reinstitutes Awards

The Department has re-instituted the Awards program…

which had been dormant for over three years. Based on collaborative efforts and feedback, a system and a subsequent committee was created which reviewed years 2016, 2017 and 2018 submissions and actions which identified numerous officers worthy of awards.

An Awards ceremony was held in June 2019, which was attended by Award recipients, friends, family and peers as well as members of the governing body and was appreciated by all.  With over twenty individual and unit citations, this was an affirmative and successful evening and we look forward to this becoming an annual or bi-annual event.
